F. Ward Just Scholarship
Open only to Lake County, Illinois, high school graduates in upper half of their class intending to establish an undergraduate major in journalism or media communications. Financial need must also be demonstrated. Promise, character, work ethic and academic achievement also rank high with the scholarship selection committee. Renewable for four years provided a C grade-point average is maintained.

First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association Scholarship
Applicant must have had an annuity, $5,000 term insurance, or $1,000 legal reserve policy with the FCSLA for at least three years prior to application. Applicant must be a full-time student, submit transcript, 500-word essay on career goals and objectives, and demonstrate financial need. Award may be used toward tuition only.
Number Awarded: 40% of applications.

First Cavalry Division Association Scholarship
Applicant must be the child of a soldier who died while serving in the First Cavalry Division, during and since the Vietnam War or during Desert Storm. If the death occurred between March 1, 1980 and August 2, 1990 or after May 1, 1991, the scholarship is offered only if the deceased parent was a member of the Association and serving with the First Cavalry Division at time of death. Also eligible are the children of a soldier who has been declared 100% disabled from injuries incurred while serving with the First Cavalry Division during the Vietnam War or Desert Storm. Applicant can also be the child or grandchild of a First Cavalry Division soldier, USAF, FAC, AIE pilot, or war correspondent who served in a designated qualifying unit which was involved in the battle of the Ia Drang Valley during the period of March 19 through November 1965. Applicant must also send a self-addressed, stamped envelope, and request for additional information and application.

Applicant must be a Florida high school graduate who is enrolled at an eligible Florida postsecondary institution.

Florida Fund for Minority Teachers Inc. Education Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled/admitted to this institution. Applicant must be admitted to a state-approved program and must be African-American, American Indian/Alaskan Native, Asian/Pacific Islander, Hispanic, a dislocated military service member, or a dislocated defense contractor employee.
Deadline: April 15 for fall, October 15 for spring.

Florida Times-Union Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled/admitted to this institution. Applicant must be a minority student, be from the Jacksonville, North Florida, or South Georgia area, and be planning a career in newspaper advertising or print journalism.

Floyd-Francis Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled/admitted to this institution. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen, be a Virginia resident, be enrolled full time (at least 12 credit hours per semester), and demonstrate financial difficulty and academic achievement. Entering freshman and transfer applicants should have a minimum combined SAT I score of 1100. Returning student applicant should have a minimum 3.0 Quality Credit Average (QCA). Applicant must submit FAFSA.

FNSNA Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled at a state-approved school of nursing or pre-nursing in an associate degree, baccalaureate, diploma, generic doctorate, or generic master's program. Award cannot be used for graduate education, unless it leads to a first degree in nursing. Selection is based upon academic achievement, financial need, and involvement in student nursing organizations and community service related to health care. Graduating high school seniors are not eligible. Applicant will automatically be considered for any specialty scholarships for which he or she is eligible. Application is available on the NSNA web site or by sending a self-addressed envelope with fifty-five cents postage.

Franks Foundation Scholarship
Applicant must be a resident of Deschutes, Crook, Jefferson, Harney, Lake, Grant, or Klamath County, Oreg., be enrolled or planning to enroll full time in an undergraduate or graduate course of study leading to a degree in nursing or theology, and demonstrate financial need. Secondary school applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Post-secondary applicants must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Preference is given to residents of Deschutes, Crook, and Jefferson counties.
