G.A.R. Living Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must be a lineal descendant of a Civil War Union veteran. Selection is based upon academic standing. Requests must be received by February 1 and include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

G.K. Morton Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled/admitted to this institution. Applicant must be a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

GA Mavon Memorial Scholarship

Number Awarded: 1 per semester

Gainesville Builders Association Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled/admitted to this institution. Applicant must be interested in home building. Selection is based upon financial need.

Galen S. Besco Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled/admitted to this institution. Applicant must be a resident of Ohio and have a minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA and minimum 3.0 GPA in major and education courses.

GAP Foundation Scholars Program
This scholarship is available to students attending a participating UNCF college or university. Applicants must be nominated by the financial aid director at the college and must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, as well as unmet financial need. Applicants must complete the FAFSA. This scholarship is available to UNCF students from Bethune-Cookman College, Clark Atlanta University, Voorhess College, and Fisk University. Interested students must be pursuing degrees in fashion design, merchandise management, retail management, or business administration.

Gary W. Chism Memorial Award
Applicant must be a Ventura County resident, and attend a school in Ventura County, CA.
Deadline: March 1.

GCSAA Legacy Awards
Applicant must be the child or grandchild of a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. Selection is based upon academic excellence, extracurricular activities, and a brief essay.
Number Awarded: 13% of applications.
Deadline: April 15.

General Academic Scholarships
Applicant must be enrolled/admitted to this institution. Scholarships available for minorities, National Merit Scholars, and Phi Theta Kappa members.

General Electric (GE)/LULAC Scholarship
Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident and a minority student enrolled in full-time studies leading to a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university in the U.S. and have a minimum 3.25 GPA. Selection is based upon academic performance, performance in business- or engineering-related subjects, likelihood of pursuing a career in business or engineering, writing ability, extracurricular activities, and community involvement. Application form, college transcript, three letters of reference, and personal statement (300-word maximum) describing professional and career goals.

General Motors (GM)/LULAC Scholarship
Applicant must be a minority student enrolled in full-time studies leading to a bachelor's degree at a college approved by LULAC and GM. Entering freshman applicant must have a minimum 3.5 high school GPA and have a minimum composite ACT score of 23 (combined SAT I score of 970); undergraduate applicant must have a minimum 3.25 GPA. Selection is based upon likelihood of pursuing a successful career in engineering, academic performance, math, science, and engineering skills, writing ability, extracurricular activities, and community involvement. Application, high school or college transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and personal statement (300-word maximum) of professional and career goals required.

General Motors Engineering Excellence Award
This award is available to students attending a participating UNCF college or university. Applicants must be nominated by the financial aid director at the college and must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, as well as unmet financial need. Applicants must complete the FAFSA. This award is available to outstanding engineering students at UNCH and other historically black colleges.

General Motors Foundation Scholarship
Applicant must be a woman, have a minimum 3.5 GPA, demonstrate leadership with a position of responsibility in a student organization, and have a career interest in the automotive industry and/or manufacturing environment. Applicant must be in an ABET-accredited engineering program, engineering at SWE-approved institution, or computer science in a CSAB-accredited program or at an ABET-accredited or SWE-approved institution.

George and Masuo Nagatomo Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled/admitted to this institution. Applicant must be a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen of Asian descent.

George Gordon Light Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled/admitted to this institution. Selection is based upon financial need, academic achievement, and service to others. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen and be enrolled full time (at least 12 credit hours per semester). Entering freshman and transfer applicants should have a minimum combined SAT I score of 1100. Returning students should have a minimum 3.0 Quality Credit Average (QCA). Applicant must submit FAFSA.

George M. Brooker Collegiate Scholarship for Minorities
Applicant must be a member of a minority group and a U.S. citizen. Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale within their major and must have completed two courses in real estate or indicate an intent to complete such courses. Recipients must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA for the academic year for which the award applies or the scholarship may be revoked. Three letters of recommendation and essay (500 words maximum) required.

George T. Welch Scholarship
Applicant must be a resident of Walla Walla County, Wash., and demonstrate financial need.

Georgia Country Doctor Scholarship
Applicant must be a Georgia resident, have earned a bachelor's degree, and be accepted or enrolled in a D.Osteo. or M.D. program at an accredited medical school. Selection is based upon financial need and commitment to practice medicine in a rural Georgia county.
Number Awarded: 99% of applications.

Georgia Duck and Cordage Mill Annual Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled/admitted to this institution. Applicant must have earned credit for Management 402 with lab and have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.

Gerald E. Barry Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled/admitted to this institution. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need, and be a member of DPMA. Application is required; early application is recommended.

Girl Scout Gold Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled/admitted to this institution. Applicant must be a recipient of the Girl Scout Gold Award and enroll within two years of high school graduation.

Girls Incorporated Scholars
Applicant must be a member of a Girls Incorporated affiliate and submit application for local judging.

Glamour/Top Ten College Women Competition
Ten winners each receive $1,500 cash, a trip to New York City, an opportunity to meet top female professionals, and recognition in the October issue of GLAMOUR.

Goldwater Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled/admitted to this institution. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or resident alien. Applicant must have a minimum 3.4 GPA and have carried out research in field of study. Nomination materials are available in late September.

Gordon C. and Mildred R. Jackson Scholarship

GRI/ICIF Culinary Scholarship
Applicant must be Italian-American, demonstrate need, submit transcript and essay, and meet the criteria established by the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners (ICIF) and the Gruppo Ristoratori Italiani (GRI), including a minimum B grade average, 1,000 hours of work in a commercial kitchen, and letter of recommendation from a respected culinary professional.

Grier, Reeves, and Lawley P.C. Accounting Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled/admitted to this institution. Applicant must be a degree-seeking student enrolled in at least 12 semester hours as a junior or nine semester hours as a senior, have a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA as a junior or a 3.25 cumulative GPA as a senior, have a minimum 3.5 GPA in accounting courses at Texas A&M U - Texarkana, must be a resident of Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, or Texas residing in school's service area, and must not be the current recipient of another privately-funded accounting scholarship.
