Haestad Methods Engineering Scholarship
Haestad Methods is a privately held company founded in 1979 by John R. Haestad, with its world headquarters in Waterbury, Connecticut. The company specializes in the development and distribution of civil engineering software, with an emphasis on water resources. To learn more about Haestad Methods please visit www.haestad.com. The Haestad Methods Engineering Scholarship Program has been established to assist engineering students from around the world in pursuing an education in engineering. Students may apply for the scholarship as an individual or as a team. The scholarship is based on the quality of an applicants and/or teamís paper relating to water resources. The paper must incorporate the use of a Haestad Methods software product for some aspect of the project. Haestad Methods will provide the approved applicant or team with the necessary Haestad Methods software and technical support for the duration of the project. The scholarship consists of a $1,500 (US) cash scholarship upon completion of the required paper. If applying for the scholarship as a team, the $1,500 (US) scholarship will be evenly divided among the contributing team members whose application was approved by Haestad Methods. All scholarship awards and privileges to requested software for the project are subject to Haestad Methodsí approval at its sole discretion.

Harding Foundation
Applicant must be studying for ministry in the United Methodist Church. Applicants should submit the application form which will be supplied to students, an autobiography of not more than 500 words about how they plan to serve and why they are entering the ministerial field, and letters of recommendation from a teacher and a minister.

Harold E. Ennes/Robert Greenberg Scholarship
Applicant must have a career interest in the technical aspects of broadcasting and must be recommended by two members of the SBE. Preference is given to SBE members and applicants who are employed at least part-time in broadcast engineering. Recipient must submit 400- to 500-word technical paper on broadcast engineering topic at end of award term.

Harold E. Fellows Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled at a BEA-member institution. Selection is based upon substantial evidence of superior academic performance and potential to be an outstanding contributor to the field. Applicant should demonstrate interest in the general field of broadcasting and a high order of integrity and sense of responsibility.

Harold R. Davies Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled/admitted to this institution. Preference given to applicants from the New River Valley region of Virginia. Selection is based upon academic achievement, community service, and good character. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen and be enrolled full time (at least 12 credit hours per semester). Entering freshman and transfer applicants should have a minimum combined SAT I score of 1100. Returning student applicant should have a minimum 3.0 Quality Credit Average (QCA). Applicant must submit FAFSA.

Harriet Blair Beach PEO Scholarship
This scholarship is available to female Kansas residents who are incoming or continuing FHSU juniors or seniors.

Harry C. Jaecker Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students attending a participating UNCF college or university. Applicants must be nominated by the financial aid director at the college and must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, as well as unmet financial need. Applicants must complete the FAFSA. This scholarship is available to UNCF premedical students.

Harry L. Meeker Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must be a member in good standing of Tau Kappa Epsilon who is enrolled full time and has a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Applicant should demonstrate active participation in his chapter, including officer and chairman leadership positions, and be active in campus organizations.

Applicant must be enrolled or plan to enroll full-time in a regionally accredited college, attend a Foundation committee conference, and submit cover letter, transcript, and recommendation.

Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society Scholarship
Applicant must have attended at least two semesters at an American high school or college. Applicant or his or her parent must be a Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society-assisted refugee who immigrated to the U.S. during or after 1985. Selection is based upon academic excellence, financial need, and community activity, especially that performed within the Jewish community.
Number Awarded: 19% of applications.

Hector W. Church Scholarship
Applicant must be a lineal descendant of worthy Confederates or collateral descendant who is a member of the Children of the Confederacy or the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA, be enrolled in an accredited college or university, and carry a minimum of 12 hours each semester. Applicant must be prepared to pass entrance examination of prospective college or university. Applicant must submit proof of Confederate Military Record, line of descent from Confederate ancestor, a letter of endorsement from sponsoring Chapter, a letter of recommendation, complete financial report, official transcripts, an essay on the significance of a southern heritage, and a wallet-size photo. Original and four copies of the application forms and five copies of all documents, certificates, and letters must be submitted to the Division Director of Education. All inquiries must include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Heisey Foundation Scholarship
Applicant must be enrolled/admitted to this institution. Applicant must demonstrate financial need and have graduated from one of 31 designated high schools in Montana.

Helen Karagianis Memorial Award
Applicant must be a woman, single, a member in good standing for at least two years of Daughters of Penelope or of Maids of Athena or the daughter of an Ahepan or Daughter of Penelope, a resident of the U.S., Canada, or Greece, and be enrolled for at least nine units per academic year. Selection is based upon scholastic records and extracurricular activities.

Helen N. & Harold B. Shapira Heart Scholarship
Applicant must be a resident of Minnesota, attending an institution in Minnesota, and working in a medically related curriculum with potential application to patients with disease of the heart and blood vessel system.

Helping Hands Book Scholarship
Open to individuals age 16 and higher who are planning to attend or are currently attending a 2-year, 4-year, or voc/tech institution within the U.S. Up to 15 each semester.
Deadline: Fall semester is July 15, upcoming spring semester-December 15.

Helping Outstanding Pupils Educationally (HOPE) Scholarship
Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA in core curriculum courses.

Henrietta Price Scholarship
Applicant must be a Maryland resident and member of the Maryland Occupational Therapy Association. Minimum award awarded to student enrolled in his or her second year of the program at the associate degree level. Maximum award awarded to student enrolled in the junior year at the baccalaureate degree level or second year at the professional master's degree level. Minimum award may be used at Catonsvile Comm Coll or Allegheny Comm Coll only. Maximum award may be used at Towson St U only.

Henry & Chiyo Kuwahara Creative Arts Award
Award is to encourage creative projects reflecting the Japanese-American experience and providing cultural representation. Applicant must be a member of JACL. Selection is based upon personal statement, letters of recommendation, transcripts, work experience, and community involvement. Professional artists are not eligible.

Henry Broughton, K2AE Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must have at least a general class radio license and be attending or accepted at an accredited four-year school. Preference is given to applicants who live within 70 miles of Schenectady, N.Y. and who are majoring in engineering, sciences, or related field.

Henry J. Reilly Memorial Graduate Scholarship
Applicant must be an active or associate ROA member and prove acceptance for graduate study at an accredited U.S. institution and enrollment in at least two graduate classes. If studying for a master's degree, applicant must have a minimum undergraduate 3.2 GPA. If continuing in a doctoral program, evidence of a master's degree must be provided. A minimum 3.3 GPA in graduate work, curriculum vitae, and recommendations concerning the applicant's leadership and academic abilities are required.

Henry W. Wilcox Foundation Scholarship
