National Federation of the Blind (NFB) Freedom Scientific Awards
Freedom Scientific Awards - Freedom Scientific, maker of many hardware and software products for the blind, will give vouchers to at least four students chosen by the NFB to purchase Freedom Scientific products. These vouchers will be given in addition to the Federation scholarships. There will be a minimum of four vouchers, each in the amount of $2,500, for Freedom Scientific products, and the company may choose to increase this number and vary the amount.

Kenneth Jernigan is viewed by our field as the most important figure in the 20th century in the lives of blind persons. The Action Fund wishes to keep fresh and current in the 21st century the understandings he brought to the field and thus has endowed this scholarship dedicated to his memory and to the continuation of the work he began.

Novotny Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is available to women graduating from PCC and AVS who plan to continue their education.

NPPF Joseph Ehrenreich Scholarships
The funds for these scholarships honoring the late Joseph Ehrenreich were provided by his widow, Mrs. Amelia Ehrenreich, now deceased. Given annually since 1976, it is the oldest continually offered scholarship of the NPPF. Early on Joseph Ehrenreich recognized the potential of 35mm photography and the Nikon camera in particular, for which he became the exclusive importer. He was personally known by most Americans who used that camera in the '50s and '60s. Ehrenreich stressed quality and fine engineering with the company in those years. In 1962, the Japanese government honored him with a citation for outstanding promotion of Japanese American trade. After his death, EPOI was sold to Nikon Inc. The scholarship grants are provided annually.

NPPF Reid Blackburn Scholarship
This scholarship was established by The Colombian newspaper of Vancouver, Wash., where Reid Blackburn was a staff photographer until his death on May 18, 1980. He was on assignment at Mount St. Helens when it erupted and took his life. Reid was 27 years old at his death and had been with The Columbian for five years. Reid graduated from Linfield College in Oregon with a degree in communications. He was known as a meticulous photographer. Steve Small, former photo editor for The Columbian, described Reid as "an old world craftsman—one of those rare people who could combine superior technical skills with a deep sensitivity."

NPPF Still Scholarship
While other scholarships memorialize individuals and are supported by funds contributed by friends, relatives or employers, this award is made from many contributions and the gradual accumulation of money and interest gained in the NPPF general fund. It honors the profession in general and the members of NPPA in particular.

NPPF Television News Scholarship
Opportunities for true photojournalism in television news have prompted this scholarship. It is one way to encourage those involved in television production to see the person holding the camera as more than a camera person, a true photojournalist. Like the scholarships for still photographers, this award is aimed at those students with television news photojournalism potential, but with little opportunity and great need.

NROTC Scholarship Program
A BSN student who has completed the second year may enlist voluntarily in the Naval Reserve, as Officer Candidates Under Instruction and his/her education for a period not to exceed 24 months. Nurse Tech/Tuition Payment
The Tuition Payment Program offers to pay up to $2,600.00 towards the final two semesters (or three-quarters) of senior level nursing students. Nurse Technician (Year-round) and (Summer) programs In the “year-round” program, we offer flexible hours with commitment of 16 hours per month on an evening, night, holiday or weekend shift. The “summer” program is designated for 20 hours per week during summer break. Exit interviews will be completed at the end of the program. Written requests to return the next summer will be accepted.
